1906 Announcement on the success of the business.[1]

1911 Plans passed for A. N. Oliver of the Barnstaple Cabinet Co for new premises in Newport Road.[2]

1924 New company formed as Shapland and Petter (1924) to take over Shapland and Petter (of Raleigh Cabinet Works incorporated 1894) and the Barnstaple Cabinet Co. Combined works employ 350 men.[3]
