Auto-Cycle Club
The Royal Automobile Club (RAC) formed the Auto-Cycle Club in 1903 in order to look after the needs of motor cyclists and also delegated the control of motor cycle sport at the same time.
1907 November. Name Changed from Auto-Cycle Club to Auto-Cycle Union.[1]
By 1947, when it had become known as the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) it consisted of more than 400 clubs. One of its key events was the Tourist Trophy Race. The ACU also held events at Brooklands as well as carrying out Certified Tests there
