AUGUSTUS WILLIAM HARVEY BELLINGHAM, born on the 30th April, 1854, died at Tientsin on the 27th November, 1909.

After seeing service on railway construction in South Australia, Brazil and China, he held, for 18 years, the post of Engineer to the British Municipality at Tientsin, besides practising as a Consulting Engineer.

Shortly before his death, hew as appointed Chief Engineer of the Northern Railways of China.

He was elected an Associate Member on the 3rd February, 1880, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 16th December, 1902.
