Atkinson's Agricultural Appliances

1948 R. L. Atkinson and Co together with wholly-owned subsidiary Atkinson's Spreading Services was acquired by Aluminium Castings Co; name changed to Atkinson's Agricultural Appliances.[1]

1951 The David Brown Tractor Organisation had adopted the company's spreaders which were marketed under the name David Brown Atkinson[2]

1952 Improved track vehicles introduced and Atkinson-Hacker tractors and logging equipment[3]

Name of parent changed to Solar Industries

1962 Became Atkinson's of Clitheroe.
