Athenry and Ennis Junction Railway

From Graces Guide

1860 Company incorporated to build a line from the Midland Great Western Railway to Limerick and Ennis. Length 36 miles.

1868 Engineer-in-Chief is George Willoughby Hemans.[1]

1869 The line was opened in Sept 1869

1872 Leased to the Waterford and Limerick Railway on 1 November

1893 Both lines were taken over by the Waterford and Limerick Railway from 27 July.
