c1869 Robert Luke joined Ashby and Jeffery and it became Ashby, Jeffery and Luke.

1870 August. AJ&L exhibit at the Royal North Lancashire Agricultural Society [1]

c.1870s Overtype twin cylinder engine and boiler used for telpher hoisting and transfer drive at Dorothea Quarry, Nantlle. Photographed by George Watkins in 1954, it appears to be of the portable or semi-portable type. [2]

1871 Ashby, Jeffery and Labe exhibit agricultural implements at the Yorkshire Agricultural Society Meeting [3]

1876 Robert Luke and Thomas W. Ashby retire from Ashby, Jeffery and Luke and a year later Edward Christopher Blackstone joined the company and it became Jeffery and Blackstone of Rutland Ironworks.
