1891 A boarder at 2 Springfield Place, Harnall Lane, Warwick: Arthur W. Wall (age 17 born Balsall, Warwickshire), Cycle Machinist. In the home of Charles Smith, a Watch Maker, his wife and their son Charles J. Smith (age 17) who is also a Cycle Machinst.[1]
1891 Conviction for theft. 'At Coventry this morning, Arthur William Wall, machinist, 2, Springfield Place, Howard Street, was charged on remand, with stealing a safety bicycle, value £10. William Hosier, cycle dealer, 141, Much Park Street, stated that on the 7th inst., prisoner hired the machine from him for two hours, and paid 1s. 3d. The machine was not returned, and he did not see it again until Saturday last.....The Rev. W. Bell and Mr. T. E. Shadbolt were called on behalf of the prisoner, and bore testimony to his general character. The Bench imposed a fine of £5, or in default 28 days' imprisonment. — The money was paid.[2]

With his wife (married 8 years with one child) Alice Annie Wall (age 34 born Rawal Rindee, India) and their daughter Evelyn Bessie Wall (age 6 born Merrow, Surrey). Also his father-in-law William Newman (age 70 born Derby), his mother-in-law Elizabeth Sarah Newman (age 63 born Thursley, Surrey) and his brother-on-law William James Newman (age 30 born Derby), a Motor Cycle Fitter).[3]
