Arthur Pagis (1880-1934)

Arthur Pagis was born in 1880, and received the bulk of his engineering training from Elliott Bros., Ltd., of Lewisham.

The next ten years were spent with Evershed-Vignoles, Ltd., of Acton, and after a period as Manager of several garages he was appointed Machine Shop Foreman with Gwynnes, Ltd.

He then served with John Mowlem and Co., Ltd., and was later appointed Managing Director of Opalyard, Ltd., of Richmond.

He died on 25th October, 1934, at the age of 54.

He was elected an Associate Member in 1919.
