ARTHUR LUND served his apprenticeship at the Horwich locomotive works of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. He continued his engineering career in the service of the company and held various responsible positions. These included power inspector at Horwich, assistant works manager at Newton Heath, Manchester, mechanical supervisor at Horwich, resident engineer at the Clifton Power Station, and divisional electrical engineer at Horwich.
At the time of his death, on 21st April 1931, Mr. Lund was resident engineer at Manchester in the electrical engineer's department of the London Midland and Scottish Railway.
He was elected a Member of the Institution in 1919, and was also an Associate Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
He was born at Chorley, Lancashire, in 1884.
