Arthur Henshell Marsden was born in 1904 and received his technical education at Huddersfield Technical College, where he obtained the Ordinary and Higher National Certificates in Mechanical Engineering.

His apprenticeship was served with Karrier Motors, Ltd., and on its termination he remained with the firm as Draughtsman and subsequently as Senior Draughtsman.

He died on 11th December, 1934, at the age of 30.

He was elected a Graduate of the Institution in 1926 and was transferred to Associate Member in 1928.
