Arthur Guinness (1725-1803)

1755 Arthur Guinness started brewing ales, initially in Leixlip, County Kildare - see Guinness and Co

1803 Died in Dublin. His children were: Edward Guinness; Hosea Guinness; Benjamin Guinness; William Lunell Guinness; Arthur H. Guinness; Elizabeth Darley; John Gratton Guinness.

His son Arthur Hart Guinness (1768-1855) continued the business, which became Arthur Guinness and Sons[1]. He died in his 88th year[2]. The business was continued by his son Benjamin Lee Guinness (1798-1868).
