1917 Ansell, Jones and Company Limited was registered as a private company, with capital of £25,000, to take over the business of a metal founder and worker formerly carried on by W. Ansell as Ansell, Jones and Co, at Naval Works, Kensington Street, Birmingham, also to carry on the business of manufacturers of and dealers in metal work for ships, yachts, boats, barges and docks, ships' pulley and block manufacturers, makers of aeroplane parts, etc.
