1777 Born Ann Beecroft in Headingley, Yorkshire, daughter of George and Elizabeth

1801 Married Thomas Butler on April 23, 1801, in Leeds.

They had 10 children in 14 years.

1841 Living at Kirkstall Forge, Leeds (age 55), Iron Founder. With Jane Butler (age 30) and Thomas Butler (age 30), Iron Master. Also listed is Septima Beecroft (age 3) and four other people.[1]

1851 Living at Kirkstall Forge, Leeds, age 73. In the adjoining property was her son John Octavius Butler, iron master and engineer, his wife Anne, 38, and 4 children[2]

1853 Died in September 1853 in Hunslet.
