1957 Merger of the principal UK interests of Highways Construction, Neuchatel Asphalte and Ragusa as Amalgamated Asphalte Companies, a new private company.

1963 60 percent of the equity was acquired by Derbyshire Stone[1]

1964 At this time Amalgamated Asphalte Companies was owned 60:40 by Derbyshire Stone and Neuchatel. Neuchatel was acquired by Derbyshire Stone. [2]

1968 Derbyshire Stone was acquired by Tarmac.
