1938 Obituary [1]

It is with regret that we note the death of Mr. Alfred Hutchinson, the Past-President of the Iron and Steel Institute.

He was for many years associated with the iron and steel trade on the North-East Coast, and was, until 1937, chairman of the Skinningrove Iron Company, Ltd., of which he became managing director in 1918.

He was also a Vice-President of the Cleveland Institution of Engineers.
