1851 Born In Chorlton the son of William Marr, a Joiner, and his wife Elizabeth Jamieson.

1875 January 6th. Married to Eliza Hughes

1881 Living at 25 Exeter Drive, Ardwick, Lancs: Alexander Marr (age 30 born Manchester), Electrician. With his wife Eliza Marr (age 30 born Manchester) and their daughter Lillie Marr (age 7 born Manchester).[1]

1911 Living at 23 Reynell Road, Longsight, Manchester: Alexander Marr (age 60 born Manchester), Manager to Publishing Firm. With his wife Eliza Marr (age 59 born Manchester) and their grandson Alexander Marr Chalmers (age 10 born Manchester).[2]
