Alexander Forrest Mitchell (1901-1945)

Alexander Forrest Mitchell was born in 1901 and received his engineering training at Robert Gordons Technical College and T. C. Smith and Co., Ltd., of Aberdeen.

After serving for five years as Fitter, and later as Shop Foreman, of the same firm he became Works and Service Manager.

In 1940, he joined R.E.M.E. and rose to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

He died following a road accident on 24th August, 1945.

He was elected an Associate Member in 1944.
