1903 Albion Motor Car Co was established; it made trucks and buses.

The company later changed its name to Albion Motors

1951 Acquired by Leyland Motors.

By 1980 the site was no longer making vehicles but axles

1993 The automotive components part of the business was transferred to the new Albion Automotive company after Leyland DAF entered receivership in 1993.

1998 American Axle and Manufacturing Europe acquired the company

2024 Albion Automotive was closed down as "long-term business with its largest customer was not being extended".
