Born the son of George Godfrey Girling, a Builder, and his wife Ellen Elizabeth Mills
1911 Living at 23 Upper Market Street, Woolwich: Albert Girling (age 29 born Toft, Suffolk), Motor Engineer. With his brother Leonard Girling (age 22 born Woolwich), Motor Engineer.[1]
Painted a disc brake for motor vehicles, jointly with J. H. Pratt and G. E. Manley. Patent No. 513,115, March 18, 1938, accepted October 4, 1939 [2]
