1928 The Airwork Company was formed by Alan Muntz and Sir Nigel Norman to construct and develop Heston aerodrome, for private flying[1]

The Airwork School of Flying was an aviation training organization founded in 1928 by Sir Nigel Norman and Alan Muntz at Heston Aerodrome, Middlesex. Led by chief instructor Captain Valentine Baker, it trained notable aviators, ran military training schools during the 1930s and WWII, and later evolved into Air Service Training (AST) at Perth.
