1847 Partnership change. '... the Partnership lately subsisting between us the undersigned, Edgar Breffit, late of Whitwood, but now of Allerton Bywater, in the county of York, James Winterbottom, of Ryebread-hill, in Castleford, in the said county of York, and Stott Walker, of Turnham-green, in the parish of Chiswick, in the county of Middlesex, as Glass Bottle Manufacturers, at Castleford, in the county of York, and in the city of London, under the style or firm of the Aire and Calder Bottle Company, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent; and that the business of Glass Bottle Manufacturing will in future be carried on by the said Edgar Breffit and Stott Walker alone, under the above-mentioned style or firm...'[1]
1883 The company was registered on 12 March, to acquire the business carried on at Castleford and London by the late Edgar Breffit. [2]
