1903 'PLANT FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF AMERICAN MACHINERY. According to American advices another plant is to be built England which will be devoted to the manufacture of American machinery. The company is called the Acme Lathe and Products Company Limited, and they have decided to build an extensive plant at Trafford Park, near Manchester, for the manufacture of Acme machine tools. The plant will be in operation by the end of the year, and a considerable amount of American equipment stalled.'[1]
1904 Automobile Show, Crystal Palace: 'At Stand 34 the Acme Lathe and Products Co. of Trafford Park, have two four-spindle automatic screw machines and one semi-automatic screw slotting machine in operation, and they also exhibit a full line of bright bolts, nuts, &c., and special parts in steel and brass.'[2]
