  • 1898 Accles Ltd went into liquidation. Charles Barlow (who had been Accles' secretary) took over forming Accles Tube Syndicate, a venture unconnected with George Accles[1].
  • 1901 The name was changed to Accles and Pollock in 1901, after financial backing was provided by Mr. Tom Pollock[2].
