Aboukaia

Mademoiselle Aboukaïa (1868-1926), real name Marie Angèle Balix, was a French cyclist, acrobat and pilot.

1899 She raced in Berlin and won a tandem race with Victorine Reillo

1909 She planned to perform perilous exhibitions on a Santos-Dumont Demoiselle aircraft.

1910 she attended the Farman pilot school in Etampes

1910 Mlle. Aboukaia, a motorist and an aspirant to airmanship, was seriously injured on Sunday at the Casino de Paris, when making her Paris debut in a performance in which she was described as the Human Comet.[1]

1919 she married Charles Thomas
