1926 A new company, Metropolitan-Vickers-GRS Limited, was formed jointly with the General Railway Signal Co of Rochester, New York, to sell railway signalling equipment, under the design of the American company and made at the Trafford Park works.

Later this would have become part of AEI

1969 AEI General Signals became part of English Electric-AEI Traction

Presumably subsequently became GEC General Signal
