1952 Automatic Telephone and Electric Co acquired a factory in Bridgnorth which became A T and E (Bridgnorth) Ltd. Manufactured very high frequency radio telephone equipment. Most of the work was for Government Departments[1]

1953 The commercial equipment activity of Radio Gramophone Development Co was transferred to the new subsidiary at Bridgnorth, A. T. and E. (Bridgnorth)[2]
