1869 Patent. '2994. And Alphonse Lafargue, of No. 13, Pine street, Newcastle-on-Tyne, Engineer, has given the like notice in respect of the invention of "improvements in guages for indicating the pressure of steam and other fluids."'[1]

1873 Patent. '2668. And Alphonse Lafargue, of No. 7, York terrace, Acklam-road, Netting Hill, in the county of Middlesex, Engineer, has given the like notice in respect of the invention of " improvements in steam vacuum and hydraulic gauges."'[2]

1881 Living at Kensington: Alphonse Lafargue (age 46 born Kent), Hydraulic and mechanical Engineer / Inventor. With his wife Ellen.[3]
