Specialised in medium size steel and aluminium pressings for the Motor and Motorcycle Industries. They were well known for their motorcycle fuel tanks and served the BSA Group of companies in this capacity. They were also heavily involved with some the specialist steel pressings used in the construction of the unique 1958 Ariel ‘Leader’ motorcycle design.

1928 Company re-formed. 'A. J. Homer and Sons, Ltd.— Capital £15,000. To adopt an agreement with A. J. Homer and A. Homer and to carry on the business of general sheet metal workers to the motor, aircraft, engineering and general trades formerly carried on by them as "A. J. Homer and Son' at Reliance Works, Hope-street. at 250-260, Gooch street, and at Benacre-street, all in Birmingham. Directors: A. J. Homer, 306, Alcester-road South, King's Heath, Birmingham; A.
