1817 The company claimed this as the date of its establishment.

1868 Founded by Andrew Dewar Rattray the company began trading as an importer of French wines, Italian spirits and olive oil. It also established itself in the blending and storage of malt and grain whiskies.[1]

1881 Grocer and Wine Merchant employing 10 Men and 2 Boys at Kelvin.[2]

1939 A. Dewar Rattray Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £100, to carry on the business of wine and spirit merchants. [3]
