Chemist and Metallurgist to Indian Government at Cooper's Hill 4/ years; Cons. practice, 3 years; Prof. of Metallurgy Roy. Tech. College, Glasgow, 9 years; present position since June, 1918; made a special study of heat treatment and testing of steel, and metallography; has devoted a large amount of attention to cast iron and foundry practice, at present principally engaged in Ironfounding Research.
