1913 London-Brighton-London Air Race
This was a handicap race held on the 8th November from Hendon to Brighton and back routing over Harrow Church and refuelling at Shoreham Aerodrome
The competitors and results were:
- Pierre Verrier - Henry Farman pusher biplane with 70 hp Renault engine. 4th place
- George Lee Temple - Bleriot monoplane with 50 hp Gnome engine
- G. M. Dyott - Dyott monoplane with 50 hp Gnome engine
- Walter Laurence Brock - Bleriot monoplane with 80 hp Gnome engine. 2nd place
- P. Marty - Morane-Saulnier monoplane with 50 hp Le Rhone engine
- Robert Bertram Slack - Morane-Saulnier monoplane with 80 hp Le Rhone engine. 3rd place
- F. P. Raynham - Avro tractor biplane with 80 hp Gnome engine
- Richard Harold Barnwell - Martinsyde monoplane with 120 hp Austro-Daimler engine
- Gustav Hamel - Morane-Saulnier monoplane with 80 hp Gnome engine. 1st place
