1909 Imperial Exhibition
The organisers of the 1908 Franco-British Exhibition held at the White City, Shepherd's Bush, arranged to hold an Imperial International Exhibition during the summer of 1909. The exhibition would embrace colonial and foreign countries, so that the commercial field would be greatly extended.[1]
1910 Death of King Edward VI - perhaps this led to postponement of the exhibition?
1911 The Festival of Empire Exhibition was held at Crystal Palace.
