A 7-8va cottage pianoforte, with grand action and repeat, having a sounding-board and back on the principle of a violoncello, etc., obtained by the application of an iron frame well secured between the sounding-board and the strings, which causes the sounding-board to tighten, in a different manner from other pianofortes. They are suited for hot climates.
