Humber was a British Manufacturer of bicycles, motorcycles and cars.

- 1868 The company was founded by Thomas Humber in 1868 (1870?), to make Penny-Farthings, then turned to bicycles.
- 1875 Brief partnership entered into with both Marriott and Cooper.
- 1886 Company founded (according to DnB).
- c1888 Factory set up in Wolverhampton.
- 1900 The company was registered on 27 March, to amalgamate the cycle manufacturing businesses of Humber and Co, and Humber and Co (Extension). [1]
- 1909 Became a public company.
- 1932 Cycle business sold to Raleigh.
- 1961 Listed as a subsidiary of Rootes Group and in turn owns Hillman. [2]
- 1961 Manufacturers of Humber, Hillman, Singer and Sunbeam cars, and Commer and Karrier commercial vehicles and diesel engines. [3]
