Jolliffe, Banks and Co
c.1803 Edward Banks formed a partnership with Col. Jolliffe, supplying building materials to London.
1807 The Revd William John Jolliffe replaced his brother, Colonel Hylton Jolliffe MP, in the partnership with Edward Banks, which supplied building materials to London and rapidly became a major building contractor.
1828 The partners built the saltpetre warehouse on the south side of the Blackwall basin, West India Dock.
1833 Dissolution of the Partnership between William John Jolliffe and Sir Edward Banks, of Beaufort-Wharf, Strand, in the City and Liberty of Westminster, as Lime-Merchants and Contractors. All debts settled by Sir Edward Banks[1]
