Chairman, Renold and Coventry Chain Co., Ltd.; President, Cycle and Motor Cycle Manufacturers' and Traders' Union, 1911, 1913, 1924, and 1925; hon. secretary, Birmingham Liberal Association, 1903-1906; hon. treasurer, 1906-1909; president, 1909-1928; chairman of Executive Committee National Liberal Federation, 1924 to 1930; president of the National Liberal Federation, 1930; has held various offices in 'Wesleyan body; m.
