Wilsontown, Morningside and Coltness Railway

From Graces Guide

A line of 8.65 miles that ran from Chapel on the Wishaw and Coltness Railway to Longridge via Morningside and Wilsontown. It was built as a coal railway and also served the iron works at Wilsontown.

1841 June 21st. Authorised

1845 June 2nd. Line opened. Primarily a coal railway.

1849 Became part of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway
