1855 Patent. '1821. And to Edwin Ullmer and William Ullmer, both of Fetter-lane, in the city of London, Manufacturers, for the invention of "improvements in machines for cutting paper, card, and millboards, and" other like substances"'[2]
1860 Patent. '652. To William Ullmer, of Castle-street, Hoiborn, in the county of Middlesex, Manufacturer of Presses and Printing Materials, for the invention of "an improvement in printing machines."'[3]
1862 Patent. '3277. To Edwin Ullmer and William Ullmer both of Castle-street, in the city of London Printing Machine Manufacturers, for the invention of "improvements in cylinder printing machines."'[4]
1864 Patent. '3134. And to Edwin Ullmer and William Ullmer, both of Castle-street, in the city of London, Printing Machine Manufacturers, for the invention of "improvements in cylinder printing machines."'[5]
1871 Living at 22 Cumberland Street, St. Pancras: William Ullmer (age 51 born St. Andrews, Mddx.), Printing Machine Maker. With his wife Susanna Ullmer (age 37 born St. Pancras, Mddx.) and their five children; Susan Ullmer (age 15 born Clerkenwell); William Ullmer (age 14 born St. Andrews, Mddx.); Elizabeth Ullmer (age 9 born Kensington); Frederick Ullmer (age 6 born Kensington); and Francis Ullmer (age 1 born Hammersmith). Also his sisters-in-law Elizabeth Trost (age 55 born St. Pancras, Mddx.) and Louisa Trost (age 53 born St. Pancras, Mddx.). One visitor.[6]

'...Proceedings for Liquidation by Arrangement or Composition with Creditors, instituted by Edwin Ullmer, of No. 4, Lilford-terrace, Cold Harbourlane, Camberwell, in the county of Surrey, and William Ullmer, of No. 1, Richford-street, Shepherd's Bush, in the county of Middlesex, carrying on business together in copartnership, at No. 5, Castle-street, Holborn in the county of Middlesex aforesaid, as Printing Machine Makers...'[7]
1873 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership between us the undersigned, Edwin Ullmer and William Ullmer, carrying on business at No. 5, Castle-street, Holborn, in the city of London, as Printing Machine Makers, has been determined and dissolved...'[8]
