WILLIAM HENRY WHITE was from 1913 chief engineer of the main drainage station of the city of Bath.

At an early age he patented a machine for the purification of sewage and after serving an apprenticeship with Messrs. Robey of Lincoln, he gained extensive experience of public works at Lincoln, Buxton, and Bedford.

He was born in Yorkshire in 1874, and his death occurred on 6th July 1927.

He became an Associate Member of the Institution in 1922.
