WILLIAM DIXON FISHER, born at Ayr on the 3rd April, 1865, died at Singapore on the 19th June, 1915.

Under Mr. John Strain, M. Inst. C.E., he was engaged on the preparation of plans for railways and other works in Scotland and Spain.

In 1889 he went out to the Straits Settlements and was employed on the survey and construction of railways in Perak, and later on road construction in Johore.

He was elected an Associate Member on the 7th April, 1891.
