Wickman Wimet Ltd. of Torrington Avenue, Coventry, maker of tungsten carbide tipped cutting tools.

1928 Wickman Manufacturing Co was established to make Wimet tungsten carbide tipped cutting tools.

1963 The other companies involved in making and selling Wimet tools (ie Powderloys and Hard Metal Tools) were brought together in Wickman Wimet, three-quarter owned by Wickman.[1]

1964 Hard Metal Tools Ltd. and Wickman Wimet Ltd. formed into a single business from 1st April 1964 operating under the name of Wickman Wimet Ltd.[2]

1973 Sold to the British arm of Sandvik[3]
