Wheeler & Gregory established their railway wagon works alongside the S&DJR line at Tyning, Radstock in the 1870s. By 1918 it had become the British Wagon Co., Ltd., and closed in 1972. There was another wagon works nearby, that of Marcroft and Co (Radstock Wagon and Wheel Works).
