- 1852 Company established by William Warburton.
- 1885 His son Howgate Greaves Warburton joined the firm.
- 1901 By this time two other sons, William and Ernest had joined the company along with Frederick Allen and Thomas Reid.
- 1914 Yarn and rubber agents and merchants. Specialities: Indiarubber thread and yarns for the elastic web trade, yarns for hosiery trade, motor and cycle tyres and other rubber goods. [1]
