1911 Vickers formed the Vickers Ltd (Aviation Department).

1928 The Aviation Department of Vickers became Vickers (Aviation) Ltd and soon after acquired Supermarine Aviation Works, which became the Supermarine Aviation Works (Vickers) Ltd.[1] in order to extend Vickers Aviation activities to include flying boats.[2]

1930 Vickers continued to be the sole proprietor of Vickers Aviation[3]

1933 Constructors of aircraft, component parts and accessories. Works: Weybridge Works, Weybridge. Head Office: Vickers House, 6 Broadway, Westminster, London S.W.1.[4]

1939 At government request, all of Vickers aviation interests were transferred to Vickers-Armstrongs
