'...the Partnership subsisting between us the undersigned, Samuel Thomley the elder, Samuel Thornley the younger, and Joseph Knight, of Lionel-street, in the borough of Birmingham, in the county of Warwick, Varnish, Colour, and Printing ink Manufacturers, under the firm of Thornley, Son, and Knight, is and stands dissolved on and from the 29th day of June instant, so far as regards the said Samuel Thornley the elder, and that the business will be continued and carried on by the said Samuel Thornley the younger and Joseph Knight, under the firm of Thornley and Knight...'[1]
