THOMAS GEORGE UPTON CONCANNON, born on the 19th December, 1856, died in Burma on the 11th March, 1916.

Having passed through Roorkee College, he entered the Indian Public Works Department in 1876, and served principally on railways in Bombay, Madras, and Burma, until he retired from the service in 1889, with the rank of Executive Engineer. He was then occupied for a time in mining, and in 1896 became Municipal Engineer of Prome, Burma, where he carried out drainage, water-supply, building and other works during nearly 20 years’ service.

He was elected an Associate Member on the 5th December, 1899.
