1964 Obituary[1]

"WE regret to announce the death of MR. THOMAS BENNETT which took place on July 13. Mr. Bennett, who was sixty-five, retired from Worthington-Simpson Ltd. at the end of 1963. He served an engineering apprenticeship with Foster Yates and Thorn of Blackburn, and after a period with W. H. Allen Sons & Co. of Bedford, joined Worthington-Simpson Ltd. at Newark in 1934 and attained the position of contracts manager which he held until his retirement. His responsibilities included the design of the condensing and feed water heating plant installations carried out by Worthington-Simpson Ltd. for many power-stations both in the United Kingdom and overseas."
