1966 Tay Textiles Limited was incorporated as a private limited company on 21st October.

1971 The closure of a jute-weaving factory at Mid Wynd, Dundee, was announced as the firm ran down jute production while expanding synthetic fabric weaving.[1] The company developed a specialism in the area of flexible intermediate bulk containers, large bags made from polypropylene.

1990 The company named changed to Van Leer Tay Limited.

2001 The company name changed to Huhtamaki Tay Limited.

2008 The company went into voluntary liquidation.
