1864 Mr. T. Robinson, iron master of Laurence Pountney-lane, London, patented a machine for rolling bars, rails, and beams, by successive passage through the rollers. In addition the patent covered improvements in drawing and forming rolls, for the rolling of heavy iron bars or beams[1]
