1871 Company founded by Thomas Dryden, who died in 1918.
Then managed by his son, William Dryden, Senior
Subsequently were mechanical and electrical engineers, managed by his son, William Dryden, Junior, who died in 1942, just before his father.
By 1962 Thomas Dryden and Sons was a subsidiary of Oxley Engineering Co. It was planned to expand.
- Single cylinder horizontal steam engine at Khanaungyenk, Burma (Myanmar). The engine appears to be of a very old design. [1]
